A woman went viral after preparing a presentation for her own funeral. The reason? She wanted to make sure only her best photos would be used.
In an interview with People magazine, Alexis shared more about the 24-minute montage of her life’s best moments, which she presented to her best friend Jasmine, who recorded the moment in a viral TikTok video.

She spent over six years working in the funeral industry and said that confronting mortality isn’t unusual for her. Her Mexican-American background, which views death as a natural part of life, shaped her perspective.
“I’ve always been a little morbid and creepy,” she joked. Though she sees the situation with humor, Alexis decided to create the presentation after a tragedy in her family.
A motorcycle accident involving her cousin left the family struggling due to a lack of legal or end-of-life planning. “He’s a young man, so he didn’t have a will, didn’t have anything,” she said. Fortunately, he survived — but the scare was significant.
Because of that, in addition to the funeral slideshow, she’s already written her will, assigned a power of attorney, and even designated who will inherit her favorite Star Wars T-shirts.
“I don’t trust anyone to do things the way I want. If something happens to me, […] don’t let me look crazy with two differently shaped eyebrows. I need to get my nails done. I want a specific flower color.”
Some commenters worried that Alexis was “manifesting” her death — something Jasmine countered. “Planning your funeral is no different than writing a will. It’s not about expecting the worst. It’s about being prepared.”
